with Ana Yepes
Rome (Italy) - March 7-8 2009

Spazio Duncan 3.0
Via Anassimandro 15 - zona Pigneto - Roma

The workshop is open to dancers and musicians. A maximum number of 28 participants will be admitted.

Program
During this second module, the workshop will further the introduction to Spanish Baroque dancing as practiced in the XVII century, according to the treatises by Esquivel de Navarro Discursos sobre el Arte del Danzado (Sevilla 1642) and Juan Antonio Jaque El Libro de danzar (XVII century), that will also be taken as reference in order to understand the reconstruction process.

The basic course, for students of any level, has a duration of 10 hours. The teaching of the basic steps will be followed by the study of variations of Folìa and, furthering last year's theme, new Españoleta variations

Two supplementary hours will be provided for intermediate or advanced students at the end of the workshop, centered on the study of the Pavana.

Students who already play castanets, or who want to start to study them, are invited to bring them. For the intermediate/advanced course, fans will be used.

Participants will receive a written attestation. The attendance to the workshop can be converted in study credits at Academies, Universities and Conservatories.
